Kauai Highlight: Wailua Falls
Located on the East side of Kauai and easily found off Ma’alo Road (Hwy 583), this impressive 80-foot tiered waterfall is one of the most accessible in Hawaii. The best time to view is early morning when the sun shines onto the water. Adventurists can hike a trail to the bottom of the falls and go for a dip in the cool, mountain water.
Fun fact: Wailua Falls was made famous when featured in the opening scene of the popular television show, Fantasy Island.
